meet the durahaus team
At Durahaus, we recognize that a home represents more than just a living space - it's a haven, where families grow and memories are created. As a result, we take pride in constructing residences that surpass our clients' expectations. Our approach to building is flexible, allowing us to create structures that are in harmony with their surroundings. We have expertise in both traditional building techniques as well as modern methods like ICF (Insulated Concrete Forms) and SIPS (Structural Insulated Panels). We offer M&E (Mechanical and Electrical) packages for your projects that can include environmentally-friendly systems such as ground source heat pumps and solar PV panels. In addition, we provide home automation systems, entertainment systems, electric gates, and intelligent lighting. When it comes to the finishing touches, we have a team of highly skilled decorators and recommended contractors for kitchen and bathroom installations, as well as flooring. We recognize that some clients may prefer to handle these aspects with their own chosen contractors, and we completely respect that.

Dr Thomas Clark
Having spent numerous years in academia, I founded Green Flare - a renewable energy installation company. Our primary focus is on installing solar PV and heat pump systems for developers and self-builders. Throughout my experience, I've noticed that architects and builders often find it challenging to incorporate these systems into their designs. Following a successful collaboration with Chris and Ed on Ed's Nudura build project, I was inspired to provide our clients with an all-in-one solution - a turnkey eco-home that integrates these sustainable technologies seamlessly.
Ed Honeyfield
Prior to founding Durahaus and in light of the ongoing "Cost of Living" crisis, Chris and I have actively advocated for low-energy and low-carbon homes. In fact, I've even constructed one such home with Chris that's fueled and heated by solar panels and an air source heat pump - both of which were installed by Tom's renewable energy enterprise, Green Flare. Having previously erected eight homes, I was well aware of the limitations of traditional building methods, prompting me to explore alternative approaches to construction.

Chris Linegar
After leaving school in 1993, I ventured into the construction industry and have been actively involved ever since. My experience, much like Ed's, encompasses constructing and developing houses and apartments, and along the way, I've experimented with several construction techniques. While some of these methods proved to be incredibly successful, others didn't perform as expected. Through this iterative process, I gradually moved away from conventional building materials and discovered the benefits of constructing with ICF products such as Nudura and SIPS. Although these techniques are relatively new in the UK, they have been extensively utilized in Scandinavia and Europe for years.
