Sustainable haven

In the heart of Ubley, Chew Valley, our recent eco build project stands as a testament to modern sustainable living, seamlessly blending innovative technologies with natural aesthetics.

Nudura ICF Building:

The foundation of this eco-conscious dwelling rests on Nudura Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF), marrying structural integrity with outstanding insulation. This provides a robust and energy-efficient shell, minimizing heat loss and optimizing thermal performance.

Burnt Wood Exterior Cladding & Natural Stone Slips:

Exterior aesthetics embrace nature with burnt wood cladding, a technique preserving the timber while adding a distinctive charm. Natural stone slips further enhance the facade, contributing to the project's commitment to eco-friendly materials.

Black Aluminium Windows:

Strategically placed black aluminum windows not only create a sleek and modern aesthetic but also optimize natural light penetration, reducing the reliance on artificial lighting and enhancing the overall energy efficiency of the structure.

Air Source Heat Pump & 3 Phase Electrics:

The home is equipped with an Air Source Heat Pump, harnessing renewable energy for heating and cooling. Integrated with 3-phase electrics, this ensures efficient power distribution, catering to the demands of a modern, sustainable lifestyle.

EV Car Charging:

Pioneering the way for electric vehicle adoption, the project includes EV car charging stations, encouraging a greener mode of transportation and contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions.

MVHR Systems & Underfloor Heating:

Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) systems ensure continuous fresh air circulation while conserving heat. Paired with underfloor heating, this dual system optimizes energy efficiency and maintains a comfortable indoor climate.

Recessed Solar Panels into Slate Tiled Roof:

In a harmonious integration of form and function, solar panels are discreetly recessed into the slate-tiled roof, maximizing energy capture without compromising the architectural aesthetics.

Battery Storage:

The project incorporates cutting-edge battery storage technology, allowing for the efficient storage of surplus energy generated by the solar panels. This stored energy is then utilized during peak demand periods, further reducing reliance on the grid.

This eco build case study showcases a holistic approach to sustainable living, where technological advancements and environmentally conscious design converge to create a residence that not only meets modern comforts but also treads lightly on the planet. It stands as an inspiring example of the possibilities when eco-conscious principles guide every phase of construction.
